Chief Minister interacting with deceased Covid Warrior Family Members through Video Conferencing

Hon'ble Chief Minister Sri Naveen Patnaik through a Video Conference today, discussed with the family members of martyred Covid Warriors at different places of the State and expressed sympathy to them. He said that the dedication of all those martyrs shall not go in vein and our victory is certain in this war against Covid.

Hon'ble Chief Minister declared that a memorial will be constructed in Bhubaneswar to keep the memory of dedication of all martyred Covid Warriors alive and their names will be recorded in the memorial.

Chief Secretary Sri Asit Tripathy, Development Commissioner Sri Suresh Chandra Mohapatra, Additional Chief Secretary, Health & Family Welfare Department, Sri P.K. Mohapatra along with ACSs, Principal Secretaries and Secretaries of different Departments were present in the programme, while Secretary to Hon'ble Chief Minister (5-T) coordinated.

Hon'ble Chief Minister paid humble tributes to eminent freedom fighter and revolutionary Saheed Madho Singh on the occasion of Birata Divas. While mentioning that the revolution under his leadership started from Ghes, Baragada and had given a new direction to the freedom struggle in the country, Hon'ble Chief Minister said that his immense contribution towards the safety of people and sovereignty of the country will be inspirational forever.

Hon'ble Chief Minister condoled the passing away of veteran Hockey player Michel Kindo. Saying that Sri Kindo was an iconic player whose contribution to the global hockey would never be forgotten, Hon'ble chief Minister has conveyed his deep sympathy for the bereaved family members.

Hon'ble Chief Minister congratulated District Administration, Keonjhar on seven of its health facilities receiving the ISO certification. They have set precedent for others by demonstrating ability to consistently deliver health services that meet regulatory requirements, he said.

Hon'ble Chief Minister said that at a time when the pandemic posed a major challenge for the whole world, many individuals and organisations came forward to bring succour to the hapless. Their courage, dedication and commitment towards humanity is an inspiration for all, he added.

Hon'ble Chief Minister said that in a significant move to provide houses to the urban poor, as many as 1,39,149 dwelling houses have been sanctioned for homeless persons in 114 towns and cities of Odisha under the Odisha Urban Housing Mission.

Hon'ble Chief Minister congratulated Capital Region Urban Transport (CRUT), Bhubaneswar on receiving the Award of Excellence trophy, conferred at 13th Urban Mobility India Conference by Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, India. CRUT was recognized for ensuring safe commuting for citizens in midst of the COVID19 pandemic, he said.
