Chief Minister give an account of the socio-economic status of women during the 20 years of rule

Bhubaneswar: The Chief Minister never cares about the women of the state. In view of the upcoming elections, the Chief Minister has tried to confuse the people of the state by raising the issue of women protection. For the past few days, ANM workers have been protesting in the capital over various demands. Isn't the Chief Minister aware of this? BJP's Mahila Morcha state president Smriti Patnaik questioned why the chief minister, who spoke on behalf of women, did not understand the protesting ANM women.

ANM workers turned corona warriors to provide care to patients while their families were turning their backs during the coffin. What has the Chief Minister arranged for their permanent employment and their arrears? Similarly, women working at the district, block and phachayat levels, starting with the Lok Sabha building, are not given permanent employment. Why doesn't the state government arrange for women working as contract workers to be paid by the government? Ms. Patnaik questioned whether the chief minister could give permanent employment to women contract workers

The government system provides maternity leave, but unfortunately, female employees are denied access to it. In the last five years, 27,000 children, including fairies, have gone missing in the state. Why is the Chief Minister silent in this direction? Now the Chief Minister is showing a nightmare to the people of Odisha by doubling the 33 per cent reservation. Ms. Patnaik has called on the Chief Minister to give an account of the social and economic status of women during the last 20 years of rule. The BJP government has been working for women, not on paper. The Modi government has built toilets for women in India and provided free gas, public account holders and widows' allowances and other assistance under the Prime Minister's Ujala scheme during the coronation.

The Modi government has set up toilets with 6,16,704 houses in Odisha to honor women. Similarly, the Prime Minister's Ujjala Yojana has provided 3 LPG cylinders free of cost to more than 4 lakh beneficiaries during the Karona period, while Odisha has been provided with 4 lakh LPG cylinders at a cost of Rs 40 crore during the Karona period. A total of Rs 1,254.20 crore has been transferred to women with bank accounts of Rs 2.5 lakh crore in the state. The National Social Security Allowance (NSAP) scheme provides Rs 1,000 crore to senior citizens, the disabled and widows, while Rs 20,280 crore has been disbursed to 20,24 lakh beneficiaries in the state.

More than 3.6 lakh children and 1.10 lakh pregnant women have been vaccinated in Mission Rainbow in Odisha. Schemes such as Save Betty and Read Betty have been implemented in all districts of the state. Mrs Patnaik said 6.8 lakh accounts had been set up under the Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana for the protection of baby girls. State Spokesperson Shri Thakur Ranjit Das was prominently present on the occasion.
