Amaresh Patnaik and Padmaj Paul to Receive Prestigious Koraput Literary Award 2020

Bhubaneswar/ Koraput: The third edition of Koraput Literary Festival (KLF) organised by Odia Media Private Limited is scheduled to be held on December 29-30 at three different venues in Bhubaneswar and Koraput.

In a press note, Festival director and author Subhransu Panda said, unlike the past years this two-day national festival will witness a limited gathering of celebrated authors, thinkers, policymakers, politicians, social activists, and intellectuals from Odisha only. This year in view of the COVID pandemic situation no guests from other parts of the country are invited to Koraput Literary Festival, said Mr Panda.

Odisha culture and tourism minister Jyoti Prakash Panigrahi will grace the inaugural event along with celebrated novelist Bibhuti Patnaik and acclaimed poet Haraprasad Das at Hotel New Marrion, Bhubaneswar on December 29.

Briefing about the annual award Mr Panda added that well-known author Dr. Padmaj Paul will be conferred with the Koraput Literary Award 2020 for Fiction and noted poet Amaresh Patnaik will receive Koraput Literary Award 2020 for poetry.The awards comprise a certificate, a memento and a cash prize of Rupees 21,000 for each.

The two-day festival will showcase 7 discussion sessions and two poetry recitation sessions. Five new books published by PEN IN BOOKS will be released during the inaugural session. Closing ceremony and few sessions will be held at Duduma Waterfall and Brown Valley Coffee Estate in Koraput on December 30.
