Bhubaneswar, It was the capital and stronghold of the ancient Kalinga emperor Aur Kharbel, a very ancient history and culture of Shishupalagarh, a suburb of Bhubaneswar. The power, good governance and popularity of this great emperor established the Kalinga state as a prosperous and leading state throughout India throughout the year, whose witness is the present-day Shishupalagarh. Emperor Kharbel's contribution to introducing Odisha's history, civilization, culture, art and sculpture to the world court was unparalleled.

Paying that tribute today, the state government, led by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, has revitalized the history of ancient Kalinga by naming a major administrative building in the capital Bhubaneswar as Kharbel, this evening at the local Hotel Kalinga Ashok. Guests and speakers expressed.

Initially, the guests lit candles and performed the music after the closing music of Utkal Janani Sagat. The meeting was presided over by Mr. Sangram Keshari Paikrai, President, Kapok Institution and Chairman, Odisha Khadi and Village Industries Board. Emphasizing the preservation of our ancient monuments, the state government has taken steps to beautify the Puri Sreejagnath Temple and Shrikshetra through heritage projects, the Lingaraj Temple and the surrounding areas through the Ekamra project.

Joining the Minister of State for Water Resources, Information and Public Relations, Mr. Raghunandan Das, as the guest of honor, he said that it was time to study more about our history, culture and ancestors and present them to the present and future generations. "We are the heirs of Emperor Kharbel," said Shri Sameer Ranjan Das, Minister of State for Schools and Mass Education, as the keynote speaker. Recalling Kalinga's past, he sought the cooperation of all to make our state a developed state of India. Among others, Bhubaneswar MLA Anant Narayan Jena, Odisha Ar Parivar Chairman Arup Patnaik spoke on the love of Oriya language and culture and the protection of its heritage.

The award-winning author, writer and novelist Dr. Bibhuti Patnaik was honored by the institution in honor of Shishupalagarh while senior poet Dr. Hussain Ravi Gandhi, Odisha My Family's Rudra Narayan Samantaraiah, Social Institutions Mission Ashra, Dedicated Odisha, Selfless Service, Mission Blood Donation, Brotherhood Global Foundation, Blood Donor Gauri Prasad Das, Famous Pattachitri Shishupalagarh was honored with the Talent Award.

On the occasion, the guests unveiled the memorial ‘Shishupalagarh-The Lux City’ published by the Kalinga Heritage and Culture Protection Foundation (KAPOK). The function was attended by all the staff including Kapind Institution members Rabindra Kumar Patra and Subhas Sundaray. Odissi dance and cultural programs were performed by the Saikala Sangsad, Bhubaneswar and other institutions. Mr. Chitranjan Mohanty, Editor of Kapok, thanked the participants. It is learned that the Shishupalagarh festival, which is held every year at Dashahara Padia in Shishupalagarh, was held this year at Hotel Kalinga Ashok in the wake of the Kovidh cut-off.
