Bhubaneswar, Bus fares have been hiked by 6 paise per km, express bus fares by 7 paise, deluxe bus fares by 2 paise and AC deluxe fares by 8 paise per km, super premium bus fares by 2.17 paise. He argues that the state government has increased bus fares in view of the rising petrol and diesel prices in the market.

While the economic backbone of the common people has been shattered by the coronavirus infection, and the daily routine has not yet returned to normal. The state committee of the Samajwadi Party alleges that the increase in bus fares by 6 paise per km is like a nalita bida on the burden for the common man.

Ravi Behera, the party's state president, said in a press statement today that the increase in bus fares was "unreasonable and unreasonable" and demanded that the state government reduce the bus fare by 6 paise per km in the interest of the people.
