The National Handloom Fair is being held at the exhibition grounds

Bhubaneswar: The National Handloom Fair organized by Boynika at the Unit-3 Exhibition Grounds in Bhubaneswar has been inaugurated today under the auspices of Epidemic Covid-19. The fair, which began on January 20, ended today after a long 29-day journey. The National Handloom Fair was especially popular among customers. The attractive decor of the fair, especially the open space within the fair, encouraged customers to walk around the fair and shop at the stalls.

The fair saw a turnover of over Rs 9 crore, with only Boynika making a turnover of Rs 1.51 crore, while Odisha handloom worth about Rs 3 crore was sold. In addition, Cox of Tamil Nadu, ‘Ako’ of Andhra Pradesh, ‘Mriganayani’ of Madhya Pradesh, and ‘Kafab’ of Kashmir have shown their happiness by doing better business this year than last year. The buyer-seller conference was held on the last day of the fair today.

On the day of the celebration, the stewards of each stall were honored with a north, sweets and honors. Mr. Jyoti Prakash Das, Director, Managing Director and Managing Director, Boynika was the chief guest at the inaugural function. Officers from the Directorate of Textiles, Boynika and Weavers Service Centers, Bhubaneswar and all the spectators and customers thanked the audience for the success of the fair.
