On February 6, the United Kisan Morcha launched a statewide Chakajam movement

Bhubaneswar, The United Kisan Morcha is making preparations for a nationwide call for a Chakajam movement on February 6 across Odisha. According to the All India Farmers 'Struggle Coordinating Committee, Odisha, 43 days after the Dillichalo farmers' movement was organized, the agitation has intensified as the Modi government has been silent on the repeal of the anti-farmer agricultural law. Never before in the history of India has the Modi government taken such barbaric and inhumane measures as concrete barricades and thorns on the streets to suppress the movement.

Even so, owning one is still beyond the reach of the average person. The Modi government has declared war on the country's food farmers. The United Kisan Morcha and the All India Peasant Struggle Coordinating Committee have strongly condemned and opposed such undemocratic repression. The agitation will continue until February 10, with the nationwide Chakajam roadblock movement being organized on February 6, demanding an end to government crackdown on the farmers ’movement and the repeal of all anti-farmer agricultural laws.

The All India Peasants' Struggle Coordinating Committee, Odisha Allies, has issued a joint statement urging the general public, farmers and workers of Odisha to join the movement in support of the large number of food donors.
