BJP is ready to take the fight that has been launched in the interest of the farmers to a decisive turn

Bhubaneswar, On the one hand, the government led by Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has decided to double the income of the country's farmers by 2022, while on the other hand, the Government of Odisha has decided to reduce it by 2022. Due to the incompetence of the state government, the mandi was reopened a month later. But due to the dishonest mates of the state government and Miller, farmers are losing their crops to the paddy market.

Thousands of sacks of paddy are lying in the mandis today as the tokens have not reached the farmers. Oriya farmers are sitting like orphans throwing quintals of quintals of paddy on the highways due to the state government's conspiracy to fail to set target targets in the mandis. On the instructions of the state government, local police state in-charge Shri Vijay Pal Singh Tomar, state president Shri Sameer Mohanty, opposition leader Shri Pradeep Naik, senior leader KV Singhdeo, MP Suresh Pujari, senior MLA Jayanarayana Mishra and many others were present. The leaders were arrested and taken to the police station.

"It is unfortunate that neither the RDC nor any authorized representative of the state government has come forward to discuss the issue," said Prithviraj Harichandan, state general secretary. The state government should be sensitive and resolve the issue in consultation with the arrested leaders as soon as possible. The state government should immediately remove all the paddy lying in the mandi. Otherwise, in the interest of the farmers, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is ready to take the initiative.

"All the arrested leaders will sit in the police station and give their views," Harichandan said. We will wait until tomorrow morning for the state government's approach. "Otherwise, the agitation, which has started all over Odisha, will intensify," he said. Dr. Lekhshree Samant Singh, one of the state general secretaries, was also present on the occasion.
