Special Branch to Prevent Crimes Against Children and Women, Chief Minister Approves 72 Posts

Bhubaneswar, The state government has given top priority to the protection of children and women. Chief Minister Shri Naveen Patnaik has announced the opening of a special branch of the state police for the purpose of effectively preventing the abuse of women and children and the related crimes being properly investigated and the allegations properly investigated.

The Chief Minister today approved 42 different posts for the special branch. It also approved 40 posts in the police department, as well as two for Cyber ​​Forensic and IT experts. The branch will be headed by an IG Pahya officer. It will deploy two additional SPs, 10 DSPs, 4 inspectors, 10 sub-inspectors, 4 ASIs and 14 constables. Five ministerial staff positions have also been vacated.
