Bhubaneswar, Bhubaneswar - New direct flights from Pune to Bhubaneswar have been launched from today. The service, run by Asia (India) Lee, was launched by the Minister for Planning and Coordination, Commerce and Transport, Shri Padmanabha Behera at Bhubaneswar Airport. "It will enrich the tourism industry of the state and contribute to the economic growth of the state," Behera said.
He hoped that air travel between the two cities would be particularly beneficial. The function was attended by Mr. Madhusudan Padhi, Chief Secretary, Department of Commerce and Transport, Mr. Ankur Garg, Chief Commercial Officer, Air Asia (India), Mr. Salim Chowdhury, Chief Operations Officer, Ground Operations. The flight will leave Bhubaneswar airport at 1.50 pm and reach Pune at 3.55 pm and leave Pune at 4.35 pm and reach Bhubaneswar at 6.40 pm. According to Air Asia (India) sources, the airline will be available for six days a week except Saturday.
