NEW DELHI / Bhubaneswar: On the occasion of Democracy Day, Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan on Wednesday congratulated the artists of the highly acclaimed cultural institution ‘Pratibha’ who performed the glorious folk dance ‘Bajasal’ of the Kalahandi district of Odisha on the Delhi highway. Mr. Pradhan said that these talented artists have glorified Odisha in the world court by performing on the folk dance highways of Odisha's golden heritage, traditions and culture.
Mr. Pradhan said Kalahandi is a cultured district. There are many talented, empowered people in Kalahandi. "Bajasal" has created a new identity for our state of Odisha and Kalahandi. Let these artists from the culturally rich Kalahandi district go abroad. There is no comparison to the traditional costumes of the Bajasal dance. "There is a lot of message in this dance," he said.
