Bhubaneswar, On the occasion of National Lifting Day, the state-level National Lifting Day was celebrated at Unit-1 on behalf of the Perfect Utkal Small Business and Vending Zone Protection Trust. At first, a large procession of protesters rose from Rajmahal Square to Unit 1. The function was presided over by Pratap Kumar Sahu, Founder President of the Trust, and was attended by Ashok Chandra Panda, Minister for Social Security, Differential Empowerment, as the chief guest.
Speaking as the keynote speaker, Rajya Sabha MP Subhas Singh said, "I have seen for myself the long 30-year relationship with the Uthadokani and all your problems. The state government will try to evacuate the remaining lifters immediately. He promised that the exterminators would be evacuated soon.

ACP Vishnu Prasad Patra, one of the guests, added that the lifeguards earn their living and feed their families.

The program was organized by Bipin Bihari Das, Suryamani Sahu, Jaydev Sahu, Niranjan Pand, Bharat Sahu, Bipin Jena, Satyaranjan Mohapatra, P.S. Hundreds of members, including Sudarshan Pristi, Shantan Kumar Kumar, Manoj Kumar Sahu, Suresh Patnaik, Anu Mishra and Banambar Patnaik, contributed.
