Bhubaneswar, State Water Resources, Information and Public Relations Minister Shri Raghunandan Das visited various districts in the district this morning on the occasion of his visit to Nabarangpur district and attended the review meeting in the district commissioner's conference room. Minister Das first visited the Indrabati Reservoir. He then visited the Dahivata-based large-scale irrigation project, asked engineers and officials about its performance, and later visited the Banglaguda Barrage.
Nabarangpur MLA Shri Sadashiv Pradhani, Additional District Commissioner Shri Nimai Charan Sutar and the concerned departmental engineers and officials were present along with the Hon’ble Minister during the visit of all these irrigation projects. In a review meeting held in the conference room of the Nabarangpur district commissioner in the afternoon, Minister Das briefed on the irrigation facilities available in the district and how the irrigation could be further developed in the district in the coming days. District legislators have proposed additional irrigation facilities for agriculture in their respective areas.
The meeting was attended by Nabarangpur MLA Shri Pradhani, Dabunga MLA Shri Manohar Randhari, Umarkot MLA Shri Nityananda Gand, Jhriga MLA Shri Prakash Chandra Majhi, Zilla Parishad President Mrs. Bhagwati Bhatra, Zilla Parishad Vice President Nivedita Mohanty, Zilla Parishad. Ajit Kumar Mishra, Chief Engineer, Department of Water Resources, Eng. Jyotirmoy Rath, other engineers from the department, MPs and officials from various departments were present.
