Samajwadi Party pays homage to Netaji and hero Surendra Sai's birthday

Bhubaneswar: The Samajwadi Party Odisha State Committee has paid deep tributes to the 125th birth anniversary of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose and the 212nd birth anniversary of Vir Surendra Sai. This morning, party workers, led by party state president Ravi Behera, laid wreaths at the statue of Netaji Subhas Bose in Rasulgarh. Addressing party workers there, he demanded that the central and state governments take immediate steps to declare Janakinath Bhavan in Cuttack Oriya Bazaar, the birthplace of President Behera Netaji, a national monument.

Similarly, Mr. Behera opined that the Chief Minister should take steps to erect a monument to the next generation in the capital for the contribution of the Azad Hind Fauj to the sacrifices and freedom. The party workers then laid wreaths at the statue of Surendra Sai in Birsurendra Sai Nagar and said his sacrifice, courage and sacrifice were a source of inspiration for the people of Odisha. The party's general secretary Sudarshan Pradhan, treasurer Sanjay Nayak, senior leader Vijay Behera, youth leader Debashis Mohapatra and Deshpriya Das paid their respects to the dignitaries.
