Ruling BJD is advocating for the millers by exploiting the farmers : Lekhshree

Bhubaneswar, it is unfortunate that three BJD legislators have blamed the central government for the plight of farmers. The three lawmakers did not match the bill. BJP legislators have misled the people of the state without knowing the truth. BJP leaders are talking about rice, not rice. Farmers sell rice and millers sell rice. The ruling BJP is exploiting farmers and advocating for millers, said BJP state general secretary Dr. Lekhshree Samantasingh complained.

The state BJP has visited six large farmers' rallies and 1,400 mandis in Odisha to share in the plight of the farmers. Oriya farmers are being deprived of the central scheme due to the lack of sincerity and non-cooperation of the state government while the central government is taking a number of steps to uplift the farmers, especially the farmers. Farmers are not getting the real price as the central government pays Rs 18 per MSP for paddy, which is cut from 3 kg to 4 kg in the mandi. While the central government has allocated funds for the Mandi infrastructure, the Mandi infrastructure in Odisha is still not good.

Although the Center pays for rice, farmers are not paid. Although the central government has paid more than Rs 18,000 crore for the purchase of paddy this year, it has not yet opened a paddy market in more than half of the districts in Odisha. The state government has announced that all mandis will be reopened on December 1. But the farmer did not know when the mandi was opened and closed. "It simply came to our notice then. As the RDC office is under siege in the coming days, the BJP is in a quandary. The BJP is standing on the fence today.

Rice is being harvested in the name of token disorder and cotton swabs. The money being harvested in the name of cotton cutting goes to the BJP fund. The BJP is running a party organization to kill the farmers. In the DLPC, the government has decided to sell 13 quintals per acre on non-irrigated land and 18 quintals per acre on irrigated land. This year, 20 quintals of non-irrigated land and 30 quintals of irrigated land have been harvested due to good rice yields. Why didn't the state government buy this rice?

How much rice has the state government bought under its food security plan? Dr. Samant Singh questioned why the state government did not buy the remaining paddy from the farmers while the rest of the farmers were buying the paddy from the farmers. BJD legislators cannot confuse the people of Odisha by reading the chirakut of the third floor. The BJP will visit all the farming families in the state and brief them on the state government's policy of killing farmers. "In view of the plight of the farmers, the state government should immediately open mandis in all the districts and buy paddy, otherwise there will be statewide protests in the coming days," he said.
