Bhubaneswar, Youth Branch National Labor Congress, Youth Branch today staged a protest and satyagraha in front of the district magistrate’s office across the state demanding various issues. Today, in front of the Bhubaneswar Additional District Magistrate, the youth wing of the National Labor Congress, led by Satyabrata Nayak, the state branch of the National Labor Congress, has witnessed an unprecedented situation across the country and across the state in the wake of the delisting, school GST and the current Covid-16 infections. As a result of the stagnation of small and medium enterprises across the country, 11 crore workers and employees are facing dire hardships.

13.7 crore migrant workers lost their jobs, more than 1,100 migrant workers died on the way home. Contract workers in the central government, state governments and government enterprises have lost their jobs. Vacancies in various departments of the central and state governments are not being filled. Thousands of health assistants, nurses, ANMs working in Kovitu-16. As a result of the layoffs, they have taken to the streets of Bhubaneswar. The proposal to pay everyone during the lockout was not implemented. While international prices for crude oil are declining, the rise in diesel, petrol and gas prices in the country, especially the unemployment, and rising prices, has affected and affected young people in particular, due to arbitrary tax hikes by the central and state governments in the country.

Meanwhile, eight labor laws and three anti-agriculture laws have been passed without a vote in parliament. In protest, farmers have been protesting for 53 days and workers have been protesting at the national level. A memorandum was issued to the Governor through the Additional District Magistrate on various issues and demands of the youth, farmers, workers and the general public of the Central and State Governments.

These claims in the coming days:

The state government is required to enact special laws to protect 70 per cent of the seats in the priority area for local unemployed youth in the private sector and all tests for jobs should be conducted in Oriya language. The agitation will only intensify if the central and state governments do not meet the following demands. Mishra, Patnakar Guru, Biswajit Das, Priyabrata Nayak, Fatu Mallick, Benudhar Patra, Jaga Rao, Baikuntha Nayak, Vijay Dwivedi, Shuvrant Mohanty, Rohit Kumar Bang, Nilamani Mishra, Santosh Kumar Sahu, Pradeem Malia, Sanjay Mallia, Prabhanjan Mohanty, Manis Ranjan Patra, Rashmi Ranjan Parida, Ajay Kumar Khatei, Shyam Sundar Vhoi, Sushmita Mohanty, Vishnu Prasad Maharana were the keynote speakers and spoke on various issues of the Central and State Governments. Finally, Jayakrishna Malia, President, Dubaneshwar District, thanked the National Labor Congress.
