The state government is running a plaque, the Netaji bus terminal is just an election: Prakash Behera

Bhubaneswar, when the election comes, politics begins with the Chief Minister's plaque. In the last few elections, the Chief Minister has forgotten about the placards. Today, on the occasion of Holy Netaji Jayanti and the Day of Power, the Chief Minister once again erected a plaque to confuse the people of Cuttack. Cuttack district president Prakash Behera alleged that the Netaji bus terminal was just an election.

Speaking at a press conference at the state office, Behera said that 10 years ago, on the occasion of Netaji Jayanti in Cuttack, the Chief Minister laid the foundation stone for the erection of a new monument to the historic old jail. Cuttackia and Orissans had many dreams of making parts of the prison a museum, placing memories of the freedom struggle in the narrative center, and sparking the long anti-British fight in Odisha from the Pike Rebellion. Today, 10 years later, the old prison has become a place for the souls of cows and drunkards.

Similarly, in 2013, the Chief Minister laid the foundation stone for the proposed bus terminal at Gopalpur-Balikuda in Cuttack on 43 acres. The Cuttack district commissioner informed about the proposed bus terminal today on a 30-acre site. The question is, where did the remaining 13 acres go? Mr Behera questioned whether the Khan Nagar bus terminal had been laid to protect the occupiers who had looted 13 acres of government land.

What is the motive behind relocating the bus terminal to another small place and laying the foundation today after the good work has been done for the last 4 years? The future of the former bus terminal is now in doubt. Is this what Naveen Babu, the five-time chief minister, can do? Is this the ideal and the proof of the image of the best chief minister? On these two issues, the Chief Minister should give a satisfactory explanation to the people of Cuttack. "Otherwise, the people of Cuttack will respond in the coming days," he said.

State executive member Dilip Mallick, state secretary and Cuttack district in-charge Amar Nayak and Cuttack city president Lalatendu Badu were among those present at the press conference.
