Center is trying to prove that Netaji is not from Odisha : congress

Bhubaneswar: The 85-member National Committee announced by the central government to mark the 125th birth anniversary of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose has been formed for political purposes with the aim of proving that the West Bengal Assembly elections are politically motivated and that Netaji is not from Odisha. .

The 85-member committee has only three members from Odisha, including the chief minister. First of all, we would like to say that Netaji was born in Cuttack on the soil of Odisha. That is why Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik and Cuttack MP Bhartruhari Mahatab will be included in the committee. Prime Minister PK Mishra, the prime minister's secretary general, has also been included in the committee to play a coordinating role. We are asking the Central Government that there is no one else worthy in Odisha?

So the question of Congress ......

The committee includes Manipur Governor Najma Heptullah and Chief Minister N Birendra Singh as members. Why didn't the Odisha governor get a seat on the committee? Two former Odisha chief ministers, Hemananda Bishwal and Giridhari Gamang, are now active, while former West Bengal chief minister Buddhadeb Bhattacharya has been included in the committee, while the former Odisha chief minister has not been included in the committee. In addition to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the committee has ten Union ministers. It includes Babul Supriyo, Union Minister for Forests and Climate Change, and Debashree Chowdhury, Union Minister for Women and Child Development, who are in the Union Cabinet from West Bengal.

While two Union ministers in Odisha have been outspoken in national politics, they have not been included in the committee. The committee has 14 members. Of these, 11 are from West Bengal. As the birthplace of Netaji in Cuttack, the central government has been forced to field a local MP, Hari Mahatab. In the eyes of the central government, are the other 30 MPs representing Odisha in the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha unworthy?

The committee has included a former West Bengal MP as a member. Why didn't any former Odisha MP get a seat? West Bengal MLA Shuvendu Adhukari has been elected as a member of the committee. Apart from the Chief Minister, why have the remaining 19 MLAs in the Odisha Legislative Assembly, not even the local MLAs of Cuttack, been recruited as members? The committee has appointed a sarpanch of Surat district as a member. What is his contribution to Netaji?

Most of the film actors, actresses, cricket stars, football stars, historians, researchers, academics and intellectuals who are on the committee are from West Bengal. Didn't the central government consider any Oriya eligible for such a committee? One of the things that is clear is that in the run-up to the upcoming Assembly elections in West Bengal, the BJP has axed the glorious history of self-esteem in Odisha, as well as the politicians, intellectuals and people of Odisha.

Netaji's pride, glory and self-respect in Odisha should immediately put pressure on the Chief Minister and the two Union Ministers of Odisha, who are outspoken, should show their mastery in national politics. On the other hand, 25 individuals with expertise in various fields from the state should be included in the committee, he demanded at a press conference at the Congress building.
