Chief Minister Shri Naveen Patnaik has inaugurated the Ramlingeshwar Reservoir and Park, located in the heart of Berhampur amidst spectacular fireworks, laser lights to the beat of Shiva Tandab hymns and a musical atmosphere.

While the construction of a stadium is progressing satisfactorily, the construction of a waste management center at a cost of Rs 42 crore for the city is nearing completion. Located on a notable 4-acre site, this ancient reservoir is known as a sacred pond in Berhampur. It was unused over time.
With the efforts of Chief Minister Shri Naveen Patnaik, the rehabilitation and beautification of the reservoir was started in 2016 at a cost of Rs 12 crore.
In the middle of the pond, a 35-foot-tall statue of Lord Shankara is adorned, while the garden around it makes it more attractive.
