Bhubaneswar, chaired by the Minister for Electronics and Information Technology, Sports and Youth Services, Shri Tusharkant Behera, today held a review meeting on the work of the department and the implementation of the 5th Schedule. During the meeting held at the Eco Retreat Conference Room in Ramchandi, Minister Behera discussed the progress of various sports infrastructure in Puri with the departmental officials and PA officials.
Later, Minister Behera paid a surprise visit to various projects in Puri to inspect the construction work at Pentakata and Talwani or the multi-purpose indoor hall and sports hostel at the Integrated Sports Complex. Therefore, Minister Behera instructed the authorities to complete the work within a reasonable time to maintain the quality of construction.
Hon'ble Chief Minister Shri Naveen Patnaik has directed the Minister and the responsible body to ensure that the sports infrastructure is implemented as soon as possible and that the sports infrastructure is implemented as soon as possible in line with the objectives set for the overall development of Puri district.
He also directed the district administration to install CCTV cameras at various locations to monitor construction. At today's meeting, he reviewed the various activities of the Department of Electronics and Information Technology on the basis of 5-point sources and discussed the upcoming course of action with senior officials.
