Bhubaneswar, Hon'ble Industries Minister, appeared today in the conference room of the department in the New Year and wished him all the best and wished everyone happiness, prosperity and progress in 2021. The meeting was attended by the Chief Administrative Secretary of the Department of Industry and senior officials of Epicel and IDCO. During the meeting, the Minister was briefed on the various steps taken by the department.
In the last few years, a number of steps have been taken by the Industries Department to improve the business environment for industries in the state. Odisha is ranked seventh in the All India EODB rankings. Idco has set up four sector-specific parks, namely Seafood Park in Deras, Electronics Manufacturing Park in Infovali, Aluminum Park in Anugul and a plastic park in Paradip.
The Hon'ble Industries Minister, on his part, proposed to the departmental officials to expedite the establishment of various industries in connection with the Biju Expressway. He also called for continued efforts to attract various industrialists in Kalahandi district and to make better use of the district as per the requirements of the C.S.R. He also proposed the establishment of an industrial estate at Golamunda.
