Protests and ideas of the Provincial Fisheries Congress in support of the peasant movement against agriculture

Bhubaneswar, The Odisha Pradesh Fisheries Congress led by Fisheries Congress president Shri Haldhar Sethi, has staged a sit-in protest in Bhubaneswar today in protest of the anti-people agriculture policy of the central BJP government.

Speaking on behalf of the All India Fisheries Congress and the Hon’ble Member of the Lok Sabha, Mr. TN Prathapan, on behalf of the Odisha Fisheries Congress, he addressed the function on behalf of the Odisha Fisheries Congress and the interests of Odisha fishermen and ordinary farmers. The government has arranged for Nida Vishnu. The Orissa government has failed to address the plight of people who depend on the seas, rivers and ponds for their livelihood.

Due to the failure of the central government's fisheries scheme in Odisha, the people of Odisha are dependent on neighboring states of Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra and West Bengal. He said Odisha could become self-sufficient in fish production if the government provided incentives to fishermen by allocating space for freshwater fish farming in Odisha. The protest rally was organized by the Odisha Pradesh Fisheries Congress in support of the BJP-led farmers' agitation demanding the repeal of the BJP government's agrarian law, which is in the interest of the common farmers and farmers. The leaders opined that the farmers ’agitation would be widened in the coming days if the BJP government’s unwavering agricultural policy was not repealed as soon as possible.
